Salvador Dali's Vogue front covers

I found these gems by Salvador Dali. They are so inspiring, it's a shame Vogue don't have covers like this any more.

There is also a front cover for Playboy magazine!

Treasure 2012 with Maria Lau!

Treasure, one the highlights of London Jewellery Week, is back again - as is Maria Lau who successfully launched her eponymous label back in 2008 at the very same event. This year Treasure has a brand new location in the grand surroundings of Somerset House.

It really was a great success, with more budding new designers ready to inspire and tempt the public and industry with their amazing creations. There was a real buzz to this years event and the backdrop of the stone hallway and the intimate rooms made you feel like you were entering a hidden jewellery world - where anything is possible and your imagination can run wild!

Curated by Elizabeth Galton, founder of online jewellery retailer EG Studio, the show was split into sections. There was the Design gallery featuring Maria Lau and Tatty Devine, the Essence gallery featuring bridal jewellery and ethical jewellery and finally the Emerging Jewellers gallery featured designers such as Gina Melosi.

One of the designers that really stood out in this years show was Gina Melosi.

Sarah Bernhardt

I came across this beautiful jewellery book Fashion for Jewels. Looking through I came across a beautiful picture of french actress Sarah Bernhardt (1844-1923). She was the poster girl for the Art Nouveau movement. One poster that gave Bernhardt instant fame was 1894 play Gismonda.

The images below are gorgeous and shows Sarah Bernhardt's incredible style. Amazing.
